The WEEKENDERS GROUP was formed several years ago with the aim of providing companionship for those who spend weekends, in particular, on their own. It is for u3a members who are single, divorced or widowed. We normally meet at a cafe or garden centre for coffee on the 1st Saturday of each month. On the 3rd Sunday of the month we go to a pub or restaurant for lunch. From time to time some of the group may arrange to go out for the day, perhaps on a coach outing. We are a friendly group, currently 14 in number.
