This group is intended for all those who want to take their photographic skills beyond taking the shot. We are exploring a variety of programmes to do this. Our newest challenge is Affinity Photo and there will be a series of zoom tutorials to get to grips with it. There are links to 'you tube' videos that cover some of the techniques that we look at in the meetings.

Photoshoppery developed from an idea to work with a group to improve our skills to manipulate or alter a photo. The group grew from a small meeting in the front room to look at my demonstrations on a tv, to a group of about 10 of us in the Jubilee room at the West Maldon Centre. More recently I had set up a few challenges via the youtube channel during the lockdown and many of us experimented with other photo manipulation programmes. Foremost amongst these is Affinity Photo and so the group has been working on that via zoom sessions. This has proved to be a very successful way of delivering tutorials and sharing  information, so we have decided to continue with it. We only run during the winter months (October to April) and I would  anticipate us continuing with zoom when we restart in October 2024. The  finished results are often used for the photoshopped section of the photography group competition.
