A group of keen photographers who enjoy good company and the opportunity to develop their photographic skills. We meet once a month on the first Wednesday either to take photos in a particular area or meet to discuss our work and to develop our post shot skills.

After each 'shoot' we all submit 2 photos which are admired and gently critiqued at our follow up meetings. There is also a monthly competition for both photoshopped and non-photoshopped images

The photography group has been running for over ten years now and has grown in popularity to become one of the largest groups in Limebrook u3a. It consists of a good number of keen amateur photographers who enjoy great company and the opportunity to improve their photographic skills.

The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month either to visit a local place of interest for a photo shoot, or to spend time indoors at the United Reform Church Hall where we may view photographs taken on a previous photo shoot, or to carry out various projects and workshops.

We have a varied programme throughout the year with regular competitions; a monthly photo competition has proved to be very successful; each member is invited to submit up to 3 photos on a given theme then once compiled on a Flicker page, each member is invited choose their 3 favourites. The winner receiving a trophy to treasure for the month. A Photoshoppery competition is also held, again with the winning member receiving a trophy to hold for the month. Each trophy has visited many homes over the past years. The group also produces a calendar each year which is compiled from members photos on a given theme.

For any new members who are considering joining us, we are a friendly group, all with an interest in photography looking hopefully to improve our skills with a camera.
